  • How Do You Think The Recent U.S. Debt Downgrade Will Impact Your Personal Finances?

I'm interested to know how people view the U.S. debt downgrade in terms of there own financial situation. Obviously the stock market has been tumbling so far and peoples mutual funds and 401K accounts are getting hit, but will this change the decisions that you will be making in the future? Will you save more? Will you change the allocation of your investments? Personally I won't be changing much at all, but It has solidified my thinking in regard to precious metals, oil, gas, and other metals going higher. So I plan to stay invested in gold, silver related stocks, and add more on any dips. What about you?

I'm fairly frugal now so I don't see a great deal of change, like you. I may watch my everyday spending a little closer and indulge in fewer little splurges, but as far as investing, at least right now, I don't see any real modifications. And I do see a recession on the rise, no doubt in my mind.
