I just read Yahoo's finance page and one of the articles was about gas saving myths and why they don't work and actual suggestions of what does work.
I think that the one that stood out most to me most was what idling a car can cost you. According to this article, you can lose 1/2 gallon of gas an hour. To me at $3.50 a gallon, comes down to $1.75. That's about .03 a minute. They also said that with the efficiency of fuel injectors; turning a car off and on isn't a problem.
