Do you get newspaper delivery? Do you use a Vacation Stop to cancel newspaper delivery if you expect to be absent for for more than two days? Experience taught us that we never manage to catch up reading and newspapers morph into clutter PDQ. It's also a courtesy for our gracious neighbor who brings in the mail if we're away for more than two business days. [no mail service weekends of holidays]

Yes we stop the paper when we go on vacation. We also stop the mail and have it delivered when we get home.Steve
* Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
* Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
* There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

No - we never stop anything for vacation. For security purposes. (The less people who know we are gone and the house is empty, the better).
On the flip side, don't want that stuff piling up either, so just ask our neighbors to grab them and toss them (or keep them if they like).
We don't vacation much at all (all of us together - usually someone home). But we are gone a lot on the weekends, and our neighbors help us out. That's just how it's always been, even growing up. Why bother with the hassle when you have neighbors? We just watch out for each other and take care of that stuff.

We stop for vacation (we only get Sunday papers) for two reasons. The first being that I won't ever get around to reading an old paper. The second reason is that my subscription automatically gets extended for however long I stop the paper.

I stop my delivery if it's more than a couple of days. My newspaper allows us to donate our undelivered newspapers to a reading program in the local schools and I gladly take them up on the offer. I used to try to read them when I got home but never caught up so I'm happy to give them to a good cause."Those who can't remember the past are condemmed to repeat it".- George Santayana.
