Well I called and hinted I was thinking of switching phone and internet back to verizon, so they said I could get back to a 1 year teaser rate if I upgraded to HD premium plus (which is just all the same HD channels plus HBO/Showtime and 20Mbit internet instead of 12Mbit). It turns out the teaser rate for this is $15 cheaper than the rate I am currently paying, so that drops things down to $160.
Not great, but I *really* like my dual tuner HD Tivo and shows like BBC America (which I am not sure are on Hulu). Maybe after the winter is over I will switch to just basic cable + internet and try out Hulu.

I pay $82.00 per month for my cable. It is expanded basic for 2 HD televisions. My cable is DSL for which I pay $63.28 per month for high speed internet and phone.
Pretty expensive. I really like the HD and have no desire to even think about changing until at least after football season. I just love to watch football in HD. I should do something to save but I just keep procrastinating because I just hate dealing with the phone and cable company.
Obviously it's not to high on the priority list otherwise I would do something.

Easiest $100 we saved
My wife and I decided to ditch our premium channels and keep basic cable with our internet access. We are saving $100 a month and kick ourselves for not doing it sooner. I thought I would miss sports but I get ESPN on my xbox 360. That includes NBA games, College Sports and other sports like Tennis, Rugby and Soccer. Why don't more people do this?

Since I moved in July, having trouble with comcast billing me much higher. They are saying that my phone usage has gone up and are billing me almost $100 or more a month just for phone. I have the triple play but also since my move they have taken away channels. It is not the same plan I had for yrs before my move. Called and complained but wanted to sell me a higher plan. I have looked into the magic jack and guess I could watch alot of shows on the internet. Have to see how much they charge for just inernet, only necessary comcast item is my e-mail address. But draggin my feet to change. I have had them for so long...
