  • Comment on Federal Financial Literacy Core Competencies

    The Department of Treasury is Chair of the Financial Literacy and Education Commission. The committee has just released their preliminary list of Core Competencies Basically these are a list of recommendations from the FLEC for states, curriculum designers, and researchers to use when designing and evaluating financial literacy. These sort of core competencies documents provide the foundation for lifelong financial education. If you are tired of financial illiteracy in the United States, then read through the document and send comments about "portions that should be deleted, revised, or expanded" back to the FLEC. The document can be found here:



    Do not spam them about how bad illiteracy is or send them comments like "looks great". They don't want to hear about it.
