What are the points for?

I've looked everywhere on this site and see no explanation for the points under our names. What are they for?

Back in the day, this forum used to have a point system where you can trade them in for certain online stuff such as my customized title that you see.

However, I think it was customized code, and since the upgrade, it's been difficult to re-implement it? The admins will have to fill you in on the details.

Oh, interesting. that would be fun to have that implemented again. Thanks for checking out my blog. It's just a part time thing and I try to write content people may like. It's a fun hobby.
