My cousin, age 63, won't spend money unless he gets something tangible for it. He recently spent $12.00 at the Dollar Store on 12 items. However, when he was about to go see a Marine Museum, he balked at the $6.00 entry fee and wouldn't go in - if he can't 'see' something in his hand for his money, he won't spend it. He spent a lot on a computer 'but got something he could take home'. Can he be helped? Is there a name for people like this? He is missing out on a lot of things in life - you just can't take everything home with you - like fun, except in your memory right?
