Have you done anything to prepare for the expected increase in heating costs? If so what have you done and what would you suggest as basic things everyone should do? I am terrified that this winter's heating bills are going to kill our budget.

We are breaking out the sweaters and battening down the hatches. I have done all the little things the local utility has asked us to do in order to save money. We'll just have to see.

We bought some of these: Cuddle Wraps. And we're both getting slippers and warm pjs. We'll probably insulate the attic better (my hubby discovered that he only put 1/3 of the recommended amount last year).

We'll probably put those plastic thingies on the windows. Not sure what else yet.

That looks great! I might get one for DD and DW.

Unfortunatly BBY3 will just be born so we can't keep the house as cold as I would like, but we will be able to bundle up the other two and Put off getting BBY3 into his own bed till it is warmer I think, (shared body warmth, plus no nighttime traveling to get a baby for milk .)

That should keep the heat off longer, but then.... it will have to come on .
