Bankrate has the highest CD APY at 2.5% for 3 years. With that much money though, you can become a private banking customer at most banks. My brother worked for the BofA private banking division and the perks included personalized financial advice. Call a handful of banks and see what they will offer you. -

Why do I doubt that someone with $3 million to invest would be coming to an internet forum to get advice? But I'll play along anyway.
Keep in mind that if you buy CDs, you will need to spread that money among many different banks in order to remain FDIC-insured.
Muni bonds are probably something you want to explore as the taxes on that kind of money can be significant.Steve
