I got an e-mail from our supermarket today inviting me to sign up for their online services. It includes on-line only coupons, recipes, sale notices, etc. It also includes the ability to view your store receipts and use them to populate a shopping list for your next shopping trip. I just signed up so haven't used it yet but it sounds like a neat service that could streamline the shopping trip. From a financial point of view, it also lets me look up and see what I paid for an item and be able to compare that to other stores that might be having sales each week. The site also lets me look up prices in general, not just on items I've previously purchased. I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of it but I could see it being very helpful to folks on a budget.
