First job, mowing lawns and painting for the neighbors, I charged $5/hr. First real job with a paycheck was as a painter for a local High School during the summer. First full time job, I was a patient transporter for a local Hospital's physical therapy department (I spent one full year there, that was enough for me to decide I wanted to go back to College and finish my Bachelor's degree).

First job was for a picnic area that catered to businesses for company outings. I did a little of everything. Clean-up, parking cars, selling refreshements - basically anything that needed to be done. A great job for a 14 year old, but I hated getting up early on the weekends for it!

First job was working for my dad at his office. Yardwork, maintance stuff. Paycheck wise......hmmmm, I think it was Detassling or announcing high school girl basketball games...can't remember.

Worked in a Deli at the princely sum of $1.00 Dollar per hour. Stocked shelves, kept the cases full and rotated the beverages, mopped floors, and did whatever else was required!

when i was 17 i worked in telesales. $7 an hour.it was fun thou i used to just talk to people all over the US instead of really selling lol..

I had a couple first jobs... I can't remember the timeline. I did deliver the Pennysaver for a little while - that must have been like 6th or 7th grade. I also took the Red Cross Babysitting course in 6th grade and started babysitting for a girl down the street that was a couple years younger than me (probably for like $3 an hour?) And I mowed the same family's lawn once a week for $15-20 a week from 7th through 10th grades. Besides that stuff, my first real job with a paycheck was working at an ice cream shop in 10th grade (I was 15).

Working on my parents farm and babysitting...first "official" job was McDOnald's at 15. It gave me a whole new respect for anyone working in customer service. I think everyone should work in customer service for a while to see how the people on the other side of the counter are treated.

My first official job was working as a file clerk at an investment company on Wall Street- not too shabby for a seventeen year old senior (Co-op ed business program)

Had a paper route when I was 13-14. Mowed yards for a few summers. Spent one whole summer painting addresses on curbs when I was 12 to earn a bicycle. First pay check job was a bus boy at a Bonanza when I was 15.

Retail clerk at a gourmet fresh pastaplace in SF. $3.15/hr, min wage at thetime, to start. First day was 03/15/1986, the day I turned 15 and a half. Stayed there over five years, through ass't mgr, mgr, and then the move to the office. Learned Lotus 123!

Before then I had babysat, and colleted snails for a penny a piece.
