Honeymoon in October? Best place to book? cheap?

I am starting to plan my honeymoon. We would like to go to Mexico. We leave in mid October. What websites have you guys used that are cheap? I hear many different things from "Use a travel agent" to "use orbitz". We would like an all inclusive resort that we wont have to dish out any money unless we have to. 5 days is plenty. We are flexable on the time of day we leave etc. Looking to spend between 1k-2k for the whole thing(flights, all inclusive hotel, etc). Thanks!

Keep an eye on Travelzoo.com, they offer a lot of specials, especially to Mexico. BookingBuddy.com is another one, though I like Travelzoo better.

If you are looking at the Caribbean side (ie Cancun area), make sure you get some trip insurance as that is hurricane season. I had an October trip planned a few years back which was cancelled due to a hurricane.

I've also been to Puerto Vallarta, which is on the other coast. It's very pretty there, and seemed cheaper than the Caribbean side. There were a lot more beggars and street vendors though.

Personally, I would go to Hawaii. I know it's not nearly as cheap, but it's so nice that time of year because it's off-season and not crowded. Just so beautiful.
