I will never invest in any dress, shirt or ANY other article of clothing that costs more than $20. This includes outfits for special events. Why pay so much money for something you'll wear seldom or only once? I paid $7.00 for my prom dress back in high school. The alterations were done by my sister and it looked amazing!

Pays to have connections I guess.

I'm sure today, the number is even higher, probably 50,000 and above. It is truly insane. Who needs that crap? A big reason behind the obesity epidemic is the tremendous spread of pre-packaged highly processed convenience foods which make up the vast majority of those new products.
Amen, Disney Steve! I know there's lot of info both ways, but high fructose corn syrup sort of worries me...it seems that diabetes has increased since it has become widely used.

Chocolate Cherrios are not that bad. I'm on my third box, but I am switching back to the Honey Nut Cherrios on the next box.

I like to get my loads of think online. It's cheaper, & I can get my brand & color.

Not buy a car from GM or Chysler while they are government owned? You'd rather they not pay the government back? Or maybe you'd just like higher taxes instead.

I bought a Chevy recently and I like it. It's a fine car made by good, hard working Canadians.

Really, its great. But i was talking general, that we dont urge to buy everything that is sold in the mall. Everyone differs in taste.

                    Hi!
Good observation buddy. One can count hundred and thousands of such products that we usually even never think to buy, but consider that companies prepare these products for users like us and if people are buying so the company is producing. In case people stop buying, the company will ultimately stop producing. one other reason comes in mind that it can happen against costly items that people avoid purchasing from real market as the same product is available on online auction or bidding websites so people prefer to buy the same product from there. Consider that the product you love to buy, might be not the much worthy for some other.

Am I bad for wanting to try chocolate cheerios? Dang, it must be the pregnancy talking.

Hey, stopping talking about chocolate Cheerios. Now I am wanting to try them, too, and I have never had a hankering for Cheerios before. Geeze, I guess this explains why some of that stuff sells at all.

Supermarket stuff I'll never buy? I nominate all the stuff that comes in little tear-open envelopes-- soup mixes, gravy mixes, stew seasoning mixes, taco seasoning, whatever. More and more products seem to be offered that way.

extremely large plasma screens and smartphones that are basically miniature computers like that google nexus thingamajig. Getting them means that you do not value your time or privacy. People will call and IM you no matter where you are and that 70 inch plasma will make you want to watch even the most stupid of tv shows and movies. Who wants to sell their souls to technology? not me

a motorised scooter. I'm sorry, but you either buy a car or a motorbike, or ride a bicycle. people ride scooters like they're motorbikes, but don't DRESS like they're on a motorbike (protective gear) even though all the risk is there, except speed - of which there is a distinct lack of... which annoys every other driver out there who's stuck behind someone on a scooter until there's a safe place to pass. my biggest pet peeve, obviously.

other things i would not buy: most of the pre-cut, pre-made, pre-seasoned stuff in the supermarket.
fish spread. i'm sorry, but ew.
umm... a clothes drier. i tend to favour wind and air over paying (in electricity bills)to dry my clothes for the convenience of not having to spend five minutes hanging out a load of washing.

constantly updated technology. i have a phone. i have a computer. i have an mp3 player and a camera. i don't need to buy the latest ones just because.

breakfast cereal that has sugar in the ingredients listing. to me, that's not a healthy start to the day, whichever way you look at it.

i will never buy a super car or a chopper or anything that flies; i will try to stay away from the excesses that are borne with having money to spare. I will also probably never buy peanut butter
