Dreaming of money

I had a dream last night about money. As always, it was a strange dream.

There was a small pile of coins in a pile in the center of my bed with dollar bills flying around like butterflies. People would know on my bedroom door and I would either give them a coin from the pile on the bed, or they would spend a few minutes in the room trying to catch one of the flying dollar bills. Most couldn't catch the bills, but a few did. Any idea what any of this means?

Interesting...I may have to write an article on this I did a quick check and there is a useful site called Word IQ where you can place a word in their search engine and it will give you the meaning of it in a dream. For example, a search for "coin" got the following result:

To see gold coins in your dream represents success and wealth. Silver coins represent spirituality, values, and your self-esteem. Coins in dreams can also suggest missed opportunities.

Searching other sites is is readily apparent that there are a wide variety of interpretations of money and dreams with the meanings as variable as the meaning of money in real life. There also seems to be disagreement among dream interpretation authorities of its meaning...some of the definitions for the same symbol are complete opposites depending on what site you visit.

This certainly is not my area of expertise, but it is an interesting subject...

Canal To dream about a canal relates to your future security. If the canal was full of water, the omen is good, especially or the water was sparkling clean. If the canal was nearly empty or had filthy water, you need to cut your spending and make do with what you have. If you passed through a lock in your dream, beware of a gossiper or traitor in your group of friends.

Cashier If you dreamed about a cashier in a store, or if you dreamed of being a cashier, you might soon run into some financial worries. Watch your spending.

Cushion The more cushions there were in your dream, the more careful you should be about spending your money during the coming year. However, if the cushions were torn and shabby, you might get a raise in your allowance or at work.

Eskimos If you dreamed of Eskimos, you need to get a grip on your spending.

Facial Hair If a female dreams of growing facial hair, you may have suffered an attack on your reputation or persona recently. Peppermint If you dreamed of peppermint, you will receive money or some other unexpected benefit from a relative.
