  • Ebay - Why Did I just Bid on 9lbs of Legos! Ugh!

I have been trying to declutter like a maniac. However, my kids want Legos for Christmas. For YEARS they have had Legos and didn't care a whit about them. In fact, most got tossed or sent to yard sale. Now, looking at the absurd prices for Christmas ($60 to $100!) I figure I can buy them a boatload of legos for a lot less than that. I wonder how big the box will be!

Heh-heh, legos by the pound. And by the mail no less. It would be funny if you are actually buying back some legos that had already made a circulation through your house. A lego is forever.

But really, legos are great. They appeal to kids of all ages. Heck, they appeal to adults who like to play, too. Urrr, they appeal to me, anyway.

Why did you just bid on them? oh, just because they're the COOLEST TOY THAT'S EVER BEEN ON THE MARKET!!!

I grew up with legos, and my 4 siblings and I never really got tired of them. They might be ignored for a few months, but they were inevitably pulled out again and enjoyed quite fully. Over the years we ended up amassing a significant collection -- on the order of 30 cubic feet of them all stored in a big trunk in our bedroom! Best guess, probably 40-50 lbs of legos.

But then, that was back when legos were affordable and the sets had more variety than exclusively star wars with a couple other random sets.... So for birthdays and Christmas, at least for my middle brother and I, it was easy -- just give us a lego set and we're happy. I think my parents have since sold them all, which is understandable (most of us have all left the house), but even still, anytime I get a lego set in my hand, it's like going back to when I was 8. To this day I have 2 or 3 lego sets (constructed) sitting around my house, just for the memories. Ahhh, memories....

I just turned 27 years old. And three months ago, on a whim I bought and assembled a lego 737. Those are GREAT toys. And I was a TRUE 'lego-maniac' when I was younger. And I built cities that spanned half my bedroom.

GREAT for creative people. I used them for school projects through high school. hehehe. If the kids dont like them, YOU enjoy them!
