$43 is the going rate where I am for Comcast. Goes up to $60 if you don''t get cable. Just called and negotiated it down to 29.99 3/mb for 12 months. Have gotten as low as 19.99 in the past for 6/mb. $40 sounds avg to me.

I pay $50 for Cox cable. There is a cheaper plan for $35, but I like the additional speed I get with the $50 plan. I do not have cable TV.

                AT&T-$25 month - DSL - 1.5 MB? per second.

To double speed it would be $30. But, we have not found the need for speed necessary.

Mine is $43 a month for the lowest-level cable through Comcast. It's the with-a-tv-package price, I don't actually have a tv package but due to the way they categorize my apartment building's address, if one person has cable it looks like we all do and thus I get the discount.

I used to have DSL through Verizon which was $20 and then $30 a month for the DSL portion, but it was terrible sporadic service and with the cheapest phone line and the assortment of taxes on top of it, it came out to cost around the price of cable anyway.
