  • Do you ever dream of shopping?

I consider myself pretty frugal, and when I do splurge on shopping, it is usually a very small splurge---most pampering treats are below $20 total.

Lately, I have been thinking of things I would love to buy.........but know that right now I shouldn't.

How many of you keep a running list of things you want to purchase? How many of you price comparisson like crazy before deciding to buy?

I dream about shopping but it's usually a dream where I am walking through the mall and then suddenly realize I am naked.

    What does that mean?

Several years ago I created a 'sale' calendar which lists the items that go on sale each month for example, school/office supplies end of July/early August. Since that time we've planned purchases knowing when we can do 'deals'

I think this is a great time to shop, prices have never been lower.

        Snafu,

That's a cool idea - other than the obvious (back to school, summer clearance). . .would you post a calendar of stuff I woldn't think of?

Funny how when the economy is down and the great deals are to be had, nobody wants to shop, or feels bad about it.

When times are good and prices high, everybody's shopping like a drunken sailor.

Oh sure! When the fleet is in they are seen stumbling all over the malls and outlet store villages, barely able to hang onto their six or eight giant department store bags. After six months at sea, they do have a lot of pent up shopping desires to fulfill. The worst are the submariners.

What do ya do with a shoppin' sailor?

Omg! We used to sing that song in choir class in elementary school! Ha!!

My shopping urges haven't been strong lately....though I am longing to at least go window shopping in a big box store.

I keep lists so that I remember to buy things I need and want. The wants I tend to comparison shop and not buy until they reach their lowest price.
