There's a hud house down the street for sale at $145. It has a finished basement, fireplace, and one more bath than us, but also has missing appliances, writing on the walls, stained carpeting, and holes in the walls. A house 2 doors down from us has the same blueprint as ours. They finished their basement right before they sold and got $165. We bought at $140 a year ago. So either way, if we sold today, I think we would walk away with empty pockets, but no debt on it either. Given this market, I can't complain about that.

I didn't use zillow, but it is currently pretty accurate for my neighborhood. It is slow to reflect price changes though. I think it is only accurate right now because things have been rather stagnate for almost a year. Which is definitely a first (prices have risen and dropped rapidly over the last 8 years - when zillow was way off).
