  • Google search byline question

So I discovered doing a search of my website name in quotes gets my actual website, Now I don't know anyone who does that kind of search (I didn't know it was possible!), but should anyone do it, they get an annoying byline full of my navigation bar. Does anyone know a quick easy way to change that? Actually is that even called a byline? the blurb below the title, yeah that part.

(on a side note - anyone want to write a byline for me? .)

For google it is just some content that they take from your page. You can also update your meta tags as well.

You could try to add a description of your site in the description meta tag. Failing that just keep writing lots of content for the site and you'll be fine.

It'll take a little while for Google to read your new information and include it in their index. If you try back in a week it will hopefully be updated.
