Quite simply, I'm hooked, I have learned so much in the short time I have frequented this site. I don't want to offend anyone, but this is a great site for "normal" people to discuss the one thing that everyone can relate to...money.
Although, there are people from all walks of (financial) life on this site, I have yet to see or read any disparaging comments about those of us who struggle with our finances, from those who are doing well with their finances (or vice-versa). It is a very supportive group.
I especially like it when a member asks for advice on what to do, and there are so many differing replies, and they are all so good (without needing to insult or flame others). Who would have thought that a website about saving money could be so much fun!!
I always refer other people to this site, and the main thing I like about it is that it makes you think. There is a ton of useful info here that most people can apply to their own situation in some way.
I concur - I've found people here to be friendly and courteous, always willing to lend a helping hand via advice, and willing to share their own stories of how they struggle with personal finance issues.
I'd like to invite all of you to visit my site and check out my free weekly newsletter, "To Your Credit" Ezine. It contains helpful articles, links, and tips to help you budget, pay down debt, understand and use credit wisely and more! And we feature articles by Jeffrety Strain from this site too!
This site is great and it comes from all walks of life - rich and not so rich.
We can all teach each other on what works and what doesn't work. No one can feel like a loser here. We're all here to learn from each other.
I also find myself on this site more than any other. That says alot; i.m a huge sports fan! I like the idea that the spectrum of posters is broad, from people like me to finance pros. The help, ideas, comments are great, thank you all. ( Someday I hope to give advice, rather than just receive).
I LOVE the site and after 3 months had not had time to sift through ALL The info and resources - there is so much. I think it is great. A very nice community too.
I'm very impressed with this forum as well. I can't belive how friendly it stays (for the most part) especially with money being such a loaded topic!
If we're building a wish list, I have a request. With this bulletin board package there's a feature where you can mouse over the title of a thread and have a preview pop up that you can read. That would save a lot of time and help me get an idea of what I want to read without having to click in and out of the thread.
This feature doesn't seem to be enabled on these boards. Would it be possible to get?
I agree with pearlieq, this is a very friendly site. I have only had a few negative comments the entire year I have been here. The local site i visit has several troublemakers!

Many thanks!
I believe that feature is part of the newer version of the software. We've been delaying the update until Nate comes on full time because the point system we have won't automatically update with the newer version, so we are going to have to figure out a way to work around this. Request has been noted and passed onto Nate...
This one of two sites I frequent. The folks here are nice and folks have been so supportive and helpful! The people here have been supportive and helped me get to my goal of being debt free.
I really love this community. I lurked on a weather website during hurricane season and they sniped at each other all the time. I love the sense of fun and helpfulness that exists here. Everyone has been so supportive of everyone else. Since I have no kids here anymore, I can leave the site on "home" and check in several times a day while I'm doing other things. I have never used the computer this much before!
