We pay all of our bills with checks in the mail. We have done the online bill pay route, with a monthly auto withdrawal set up. Problem was that Ford double dipped my car note, caused me to over-draft, didn't put the money back under the premise that they just wouldn't bill me the next month, then the next month billed me again. Basically forced an extra payment out of me which I didn't have budgeted. That was about 2 years ago. Ever since, we've been paying postage. With stamps nearing 50 cents each, it's getting expensive to go buy a book every couple months. So I was wondering if there is an easier solution that I don't have to worry about our accounts being double tapped with auto withdrawal, but am not paying postage either. We've tried calling customer service for accounts and doing pay by phone, but the "Convenience Fee" of doing that is usually higher than the price of postage.
Is there a way to pay bills via paypal or something like that, where I don't have to worry about overdrafting?
