If you won the lottery day, how would you spend your $$?

    Me:

    1. Personal Chef, someone who will only cook nutritious, delicous meals, according to my personal tastes

    2. Personal Trainer (see #1 above) who would give me that individual attention and guidance i need to stick to an exercise plan.

    3. Trade in my '99 for a new Prius hybrid OR a cool new sports car, make as yet undetermined.

    4. Donate to Nature Conservancy and other environmental groups.

    5. Pay off mortgage? Dunno, it's only 6%. Maybe sell the house and get a newer, smaller home with less land that's more easily maintained, or possibly a very nice townhouse.

    6. Travel to Italy

    7. Get my mother a new sofa, or bigger condo

    8. Work part-time.

Let DH stay home and finish his novel for a couple months.

Buy some shelves for my room!

    Pay off house.

Trade in car for station wagon or minivan (couldnt afford the payments on that, but will likely end up with more kids later so need more room than the car we have)

Hire a 'mothers helper' teen kid to help with laundry, dishes and some nap time for me

Eat out a bit more, love nakato, but can't afford it .

Oh and get some French books and CDs for DS and DD. Like from france in french, they love to hear french, and mom has a terrible accent!

Oh yeah and take DS to washington DC, and Russia, the two places he asked to go.

Mine is to buy a boat & put a pool in the yard for the kids. And then buy myself a new car without taking out a loan!! Maybe to move into a brand new house too!!

Buy a house all in cash.

        Buy a second car.

Go on a cruise (w/o the DS).

Purchase software development for my business.

        Invest the rest.

          1) Let my hubby retire and pursue his dreams without worrying about losing health insurance.

          2) Random anonymous acts of kindness. (Or maybe not anonymous if there's a tax deduction involved )

          3) Expand the house to allow better hosting for more people. (An indoor pool and amusement room maybe?)

          4) Hire people to do stuff instead of trying to do everything ourselves.

            1. Buy my parents a gorgeous house and horse ranch tucked away in the mountains, near a lake with good fishing.
            2. Buy my parents a new truck so they can navigate safely through their mountainous new living area.
            3. Pay off my sister's college loans, put her through grad school, and buy her a car.
            4. Buy a new car for myself (preferably a hybrid).
            5. Pay off my own college loans.
            6. Take my mom to Austria, my dad to Ireland, both of them to New Zealand, and my sister to Ecuador. Travel all over Europe and South America with my sweetie.
            7. Buy a house near the ocean.
            8. Buy my own private jet so it won't matter that family members and friends are scattered far and wide.

            I could probably keep going.

                1. pay off all outstanding debt - mortgage, cc's
                2. fiinish the re-modeling, probably hiring people to come in rather than doing it ourselves
                3. not sure about the job- initially would love to quit, but if I stayed there and wasnt working solely for the paycheck, I could really have a deviously good time with it. (feeling quite wicked this morning)
4.Build a garage to put the
                5. new cars in
                6. landscaping around the house

                7. become more involved with local issues, i.e. our neighborhood association
                8. learn more about the local history of our area. This is something that requires research. The information is not readily available.
                9. travel to South America
                10. Learn as many foreign languages as my brain could hold; possibly second masters???

Mine is definitely to eliminate all my credit card debt. If I can also include the car payment on one of our cars (it has a balance of 6k) that would make my fantasy even sweeter

                      Re: Share Your Spending Fantasies

I's like to buy everything I always wanted. Upon reflection though I hope I never come into a fortune as I'd probably mess it up. Just enough for a nest egg for retirement and to stay ahead of the bill collectors is what I really would like.

Not much of a fantasy but I'd be quite happy with it!

                        Re: Share Your Spending Fantasies

I kinda find it pathetic that I couldnt really think of anything that I would go out and buy right away. I would love a new car but to tell you the truth, I love that (especially as old as it is) I know exactly what will go wrong with my car if anything. I prefer the peace of mind.

I think the only thing I would do is move back to the west coast post haste. I hate living in the DC area so with the lottery I could afford to quit my job and "go west young man".
