We purchased some lazy boy chairs last fall and they included a "voucher" for $500 worth of free gas. The catch was you had to spend $100 at one gas station of your choice then mail in the receipts each month to get back a $25 gift card. Yes, I know it sounds like a scam, that is what I told my wife. Anyway, she sent in receipts for Dec, Jan and Feb and guess how many gift cards we have gotten? Yep, zilch.
The website is still up and running: (Gasoline Redemption Welcome) but they send automated emails saying they are currently having problems with their "sequel" server (lol, anyone in software knows that SQL servers are not "sequel servers"). I found a bit of info online that seems to indicate it is indeed a scam, but I am amazed they are still running and that new businesses still offer the vouchers.
Any recourse I have with lazyboy? If I had caught this in time I would have sent back the chairs or charged back on my CC. Lazyboy should have done their due diligence before offering a promotion like this).
