  • Amazon - no buying 1 gift card with another gift card

As I've posted before, some of the surveys I do pay me in Amazon gift cards. I get a minimum of $50/month in Amazon credit that way and many months get more than that. In the past, I've used my Amazon credit to order Target gift cards. I just tried to order a couple and got a message that my order could not be paid for with my gift card balance. Apparently, they've changed their policy. I'm going to e-mail them and complain, but I don't imagine they'll change their mind just for me.

Now we have to figure out another good way to use up the credits I earn. I've got over $530 in Amazon credit right now. I know they sell pretty much everything. We'll have to figure out what makes sense to get from them rather than buying it in a local store.

I've use mine for gifts and home improvement items. If you take advantage of super saver shipping it's better than going to the store.

We ordered 2 cases of the snack bars that DW and DD like. They are a bit cheaper in the supermarket but with free shipping and the fact that these credits don't really cost me anything but some time, it is a good deal. Plus, they can't always find the varieties they like in the store.

Steve, that's a lot of survey income! What surveys do you do? Do you qualify for more surveys because you're in the health care field?

TBH - Yes, these are medical surveys for physicians, not for the general public. Sorry. I belong to one panel that has an ongoing program. I get $50/month for participating. I also was recently accepted onto another panel that will also pay me $50/month in Amazon credit for my participation with them, so starting in March, I should be earning a minimum of $100/month in Amazon credits.

I got an amazon giftcard years ago. I remember thinking it would be all books, and ordering things for my kitchen.
              Giftcards are fun.

Glad you think so. Personally, I hate them. Hate getting them. Try my best not to give them. They are too limiting. I don't want to have to spend a certain amount at a certain place, even places that sell a wide array of merchandise like Amazon. I'd choose cash any day.
