Why is it so hard to give away stuff?

    I was actually going to start a thread on this topic (I still will). I've definitely noticed thrift store prices rising in the past year or so. We were at one shop in Maryland yesterday while on vacation and the prices were ridiculous. The merchandise costs them nothing. They probably don't pay the staff very much. Being a charity, they probably get a break on rent and taxes. You think they'd want to sell as much stuff as possible. The Goodwill stores near me sell dollar store items for $1.99. It is nuts.
