      It seemed there were a bunch of fees with it. At this point if you have a thousand bucks, you can get 4.0% with dollarsavingsdirect.com

        The smartypig site says its free?

        Although I agree with you, stick with a good old savings account with a decent interest rate.

          The fact that you called it a "cute" way to save for something specific worries me. I've seen a lot of ads for them, but they don't seem to be that well established. I prefer ING because I know what I'm getting myself into and the comfort of knowing this is worth the slightly lower interest rate.
