Has anyone enjoyed some or all of these books? The first four of them were published when I was in late grade school and high school. My sibs and mother used to all end up reading a lot of the same books from the library, but I never got around to these. My family used to make reference to them frequently. They loved the Foxfire books. Sometimes my mother would compare her small town and farm life in 1920s-40s Arkansas to the books.

I see from Wikipedia that there are now 13 books in the series, the latest published in 2006!

Anybody here a fan?

I have 1 of them, purchased during my Hippie Period. I always really liked it, had no idea there were more, tho i haven't read it in ages.

I bought all of them as they came out. Old tech. has always fascinated me.

As a used bookdealer, I knew the value was up on them years ago and sold my set. If you like them, try The Salt Book, same sort of thing.

My parents have the first 6 or so in the series. I grew up thumbing though these. I've made homemade gun powder, a small smelting furance, a still, and several other type things based on the books. They are a great source of knowledge.
