    Wii Fit - Day 3

After we returned from our nightly walk, I did a total of 6 minutes on the Wii. I did one yoga pose (that I still suck at on my left leg, okay on my right), 2 aerobics exercises (hula hoop and step) and 2 balance games (soccer ball and ski slalom). It was the first time I did hula hoop and I did very well. I got my high score on soccer and slalom. I didn't do any strength training today.

I thought it was odd when I heard about it but it is fun to actually do.

I'm going to start tracking my exercise and Wii use on my blog so people can see if I'm sticking with it.

I just tried that out the other day! It was pretty cool, amazing technology these days...I might end up getting one of those myself

I think this is a great idea. Wii is such an active on your feet system...whoever came up with this idea is a genius.

We don't have a Wii (and our only t.v. is a 15+ year old 12"), but my friend has one with a big screen plasma so maybe I can talk her into a Wii fit group to do while the kids are in school!

PS - We joined the Y a couple of months ago and love it - esp. because daycare is included during your workout time. It's like "my time" and I'm not ready to trade that out, yet. But in these economic lows, we just may have to.

We had we fit since last two weeks or so and we are already having a great time.

There are not many games for wii fit so I am not sure for how long we will enjoy same set of games. But so far, we are having a blast!

As you move along, you "unlock" new games and exercises, though that does max out at some point. We haven't unlocked them all yet. You do get to the point, though, where there is a big enough variety that you don't have to do the same things every day. You can mix it up so each workout is different. When you think about it, it really isn't much different than a gym where there is a finite number of machines to work on.

We actually didn't do Wii Fit for the past 2 weeks because we were tied up with the Bat Mitzvah the first week and then exhausted the 2nd week. We will start up again this week. I miss doing it. It is fun and good exercise.

my cousin has one, and it's fun, however, just cuz your joint is hurting doesn't mean you are working out. the risk of injury can negate the savings...

Yes. I've only gotten on about 2 times/week the past couple of weeks, but I am still using it and I've been tied up with a big project so haven't gotten to exercise as much as I'd like. After this weekend, I'll have my free time back.

My wife and daughter are both still using it as well. My wife has been doing it more than I have the past week or so.
