It's been four months now since I received my total money make over and started aspiring to be the millionaire next door. I never really thought about money until I decided I want to work freelance from home instead of the dead-end job I was in.

I've dropped to less-than-part-time and am currently clearing twice what I did when I was working full-time. Not that freelance isn't full-time-plus some times, but we never call it that...

Anyway, during that time I've been able to pay off $1,200 in credit card debt and make some decent dents on my auto and school loans. I'm posting now so that I stick to it. I read these forums, I subscribe to the PFbuzz RSS feed... and I keep reading the same posts over and over again with different authors' names attached to them.

One day I hope to be yet one more name on that list. That list of people who are debt-free and sharing their experience with others who feel buried and hopeless.

Thanks for the words of wisdom. Then, thanks for repeating them over and over again in your blogs to keep me on track.

Well, I have been on this budget for 42 years. Oh, the budget changes as we make more money or incur new expenses, but it is still pretty much the same thing I have done over and over every week. I have always used the envelope system and it has worked for me.

Yay! I need to sit down and write out my goals as well. I feel like I am financially safe and happy, but it would still be nice to work for something. I am going to check out that Rss feed you mentioned.
