Congratulations! That's fantastic! How did you do it?

Well, I have been sending $800 a pay to my INGDIRECT account...which I love. When I get a raise in September, I am going to send $1000 a pay to the account. I'm just going to continue on from there.

I don't necessarily need all of the $10,000 for the wedding, but I want to have that much saved for it.

Yahoo! If my fiance and I move out in January 2011, then we will have about $80,000 saved (according to my plan which factors in my raises and my fiance's contributions as well).

Congratulations. This just goes to show what determination can do. Now, ScrimpAndSave, live up to your forum name and after you've paid for your wedding, then go for $20,000.

Very good! Now to start figuring out ways to have a great wedding without barely touching that $10K. There are plenty of ways, but if that is what you want to spend it on, go for it, you earned and you saved it! congratulations.

Will do...I am certainly hoping not to touch the entire $10,000. The reception and ceremony come to $25,000...but my dad is covering that (thank you Daddy).

I am doing ceremony music, cocktail music, reception DJ, wedding gown, hair and nails for me, hair for the bridesmaids, rooms for the night before the wedding (for the bridal party), invitations, gifts for the attendants, both rings, videography, photography, flowers...some other stuff too. My fiance has no income since he is in law school - so it is up to me.
