  • looking to buy an SUV

I need the extra space. I'm looking to buy in December or January sometime. What are your thoughts and experiences with SUV's. Lately I've been looking at the Ford Expedition; 6k-10k; 2001-2004; 50k-75k miles. I figure now is a good time to buy one.

I have an Exployer Sport Trac and love it. Don't like how much value they have lost in the last year.

You can pick up an SUV for fairly cheap these days as demand has plummeted for them. My stepfather works for the auto auctions and has seen many year old SUV's coming across the block selling for half of what they did new. I'm assuming that you are looking for full size since you are looking at an Expedition. You may also want to consider a Chevy Suburban. My dad has one and loves it. The engine shuts down half of the cylinders on the highway and he ends up getting around 20 mpg with it. Thats not bad for a full size SUV with a V8.

Yeah, Im trying to get a full-size; Ford expedition/toyota seqouia/ etc. Ford seems to be the only one that I can get a bang for my buck.
