  • How to earn money while I have cancer?

    Hello,

Just looking for some advice on how I can make a little money while I am sick at home with Cancer. I am realizing that the bills don't stop just because you are sick.
I created a donation page at the link in my profile, but I am not really relying on that and would like to do something home-based for myself to take in a little money to get by. Any advise?
At this point I am open to anything. Thanks in advance.

    Dear Blue,

Sorry to learn of your cancer. Hope all works out well. You might do a savingadvice search on survey sites -- some pay money. I don't know a whole lot about them, but some, like pinecone, are supposed to be really good.

Survey sites are probably not going to pay any bills.

There is a site (dont know the link) called work from home mom or something along those lines.

Basically it lists companies and such that offer work from home jobs. Most are call center like jobs, some personal assisting, some tech support, some more adult oriented.

Basically they give you some equipment you setup at home and they route calls to you. Most pay on a per call basis or minutes on phone, some pay hourly. Usually it is not much, 8-10 being about average I think, but it should help.

I heard about a company ( alpineaccess.com ) which is like a customer service outsourcing firm that uses an army of home-based employees around the country.

From looking on their website, you'll probably need a decent computer (1ghz processor, 1gb ram, etc), broadband access, and a regular landline phone w/headset.

            I hope that helps.

Why do you necessarily need to work at home? What about working part time or some short shifts outside of the home? Getting out of your present environment and interacting with people may actually be more refreshing and profitable.
As for creating a "donation page and link" I didn't know we were allowed to do this on this website.

I don't know too many cancer victims with PayPal accounts. You are the first.
