  • Going to see this townhouse today!

Forks Township, Pennsylvania Home for Sale From RE/MAX

It sold back in 2003 for $106,000. It is on .12 acres...which is like 5,000 sq.ft? Tiny, but large enough for a little doggie.

If I like it, I am not sure how low my first offer should be...similiar houses have been selling for a lot more and a lot less around it.

The neighborhood can't be beat and the schools are GREAT.

I don't know how I feel about being attached to another house though...hmm.

If I were going to make an offer on this place I'd ask them to put up crown molding as part of the stipulations. It's not all that expensive yet if you can get them to do it, all the better for you. Also, if you don't care for any of the paint colors and would want them changed after move in? Ask for it as part of the contract offer.

Yeah, flooring and carpeting are also ones that people often ask to be changed or to be given an allowance to do so. Also any upgrades that would make it more economical for you, such as possibly a new energy efficient hot water tank, or maybe a programable thermostat, etc. Keep your eyes peeled whatever place you decide on some of the upgrades you'd want to make afterwards and ask for them as part of the purchase contract.

Yeah I would much rather have laminate flooring rather than linoleum...I really hate that.

I am not sure I am sold on being attached to another house. It is hard to find a single family detached home, especially in this nice of a neighborhood, that is within my price range.

I am assuming being on the end is better and a little more quiet.

Question- Laminate flooring vs hardwood. People talk about laminate hardwood floors...what is that?

It's just a thicker laminate made to look like hardwood.

I see lots of hardwood floors in houses, the pieces are kind of interlocking when they are put down, and very slick, shiny looking (as opposed to older houses with harddwood floor that get sanded down and refinished).
                those are not hardwood laminate-right?

Wow...they actually painted the kitchen ceiling. Well you're def doing better in the price:sq ft ratio.

Game, yeah that is hardwood laminate....hardwood laminate would be that shiny slick interlocking stuff... but real hardwoods are made to be interlocking these days too

Game, Go to home depot....they have displays towards the back of hardwood laminate and real hardwood. You can see the difference

Yeah I absolutely hate linoleum. It blows my mind down here too....I'll see a 300K house (that's really upper end here) and they'll have linoleum in the kitchen and bathrooms and I'm like what?! If I'm gonna pay that it will not have linoleum! That's why my house has ceramic tile in those areas.

What is your thought on the kitchen ceiling being painted? You don't care for the color? You don't like ceilings that are not white?---Right now golds are popular wall colors and it is increasingly popular to paint ceilings the same as the walls.
