I found it to be very interesting. It is intriguing to think about what would happen if the human race suddenly disappeared. The show theorized that after about 10,000 years there would be almost no evidence or record that humans ever existed. All that would remain would be some of our largest structures. Mt. Rush More, the great pyramids, Hoover Dam. Other than that, nature would comletely wipe out all evidence that we were ever here. I assume that all that would remain pristine would be the satellites and landers that we have sent into space. It kind of makes you realize how fragile we all really are.

I caught parts of it. It seemed like a really neat concept to discuss - how lont it would take for various things to erode, corrode and disintegrate. I'm sure they'll show it again sometime. I'll have to try and watch the whole thing if they do.Steve

On a slightly similar but different topic....I always wanted to know what archaeologist would think of our current civilization after a couple thousand years.
Would they unearth some shopping mall and wonder what sort of gathering place it was?
Would a dig find many statues and sculptures and art depictions of a guy in a red suit and speculate on what sort of religion he was part of?
Would those digs find more churches or more malls or more schools? What assumptions would be made based on that fact? Would the dentist chair look like some form of torture device? What theories would be made looking at some of the feminine 'tools' (eyelash curlers?)
This is of course assuming complete records are not kept. As of right now I imagine there are hundreds of U-tube videos telling one just how to use a eyelash curler. in any event Google has 65,900sites regarding it.

I would assume that if we survived, then archeologists would most likely have a complete picture of our history due to record keeping. However, if we were to suddenly disappear and some alien explorers landed on our planet thousands of years from now it is interesting to think about what impression they would get about our species and culture based on whatever artifacts may be left from us.Brian

Princess perky- on my way to walmart I have to sit at a stop sign and oddly enough I contemplate what people or others would think of the burger king sign that is on pedestal and has the word king on it looks like a little shrine for the king of burgers to me , he must have been a very important ruler as these are in every city
