I went out to dinner and met my first billionaire this weekend. It was a very sobering experience.
The man had made his money in trucking and was very down to earth. A very nice guy and while it was interesting listening to his story, it really hit home that money isn't everything.
The guy is 60, but his health is in shambles. He's very overweight and can barely get around. My image of having a billion dollars would be so that I can use it to do all the things I would want to do and in his current physical condition, he can't. In fact, I wouldn't have traded positions with him. It was actually kind of sad.
