I am about to move into a new townhouse complex that I found using Rent.com. Has anyone here actually claimed the $100 Visa gift card reward that they advertise so much? It seems too good to be true.

The company I work for pays a lot of money to list on their web site, so I think they are pretty legitimate. I will be interested to know how well your getting the $100 goes. -
Yeah, I've claimed the $100 gift card. It's real and I received it. When I signed my lease, I mentioned that I found it on Rent.com and I think they sent something to Rent.com to prove it.Comment

I wanted to post an update about my Rent.com $100 reward. I signed my lease of Feb 11th, and also reported the info to Rent.com that same day. It said it would take 8-10 weeks to be approved and mailed.
After waiting ten weeks, I called Rent.com on Apr18th. They hadn't heard anything from my complex so they suggested I call the manager and check with them. I called the office and they said they had discontinued their subscription back in Oct 2007, so they wouldn't be able to give verification to Rent.com. I called back Rent.com and repeated the story. They said they can't do anything without that verification. I was bummed, but oh well.
Two days later I get an email from Rent.com saying my $100 card has just been mailed. According to their records, they received verification Apr 9th..? Oh well, I will not ask questions and just say thanks!
