  • How long is your commute?

For those of you who work full-time, how long is your (one-way) commute?

    Just curious...

At my old job, it was 5 minutes. At my new job, it'll be 60 minutes.

Usually 5 minutes but I allow 10 "just in case".

My old job was 20-25 minutes. My new job (in a completely different state), is 10 minutes. Personally, I would NEVER commute more than 20-25 minutes - I just HATE commuting THAT much!

Right now, 20 minutes. Starting in February, it'll be 2.5 hours from my new house, so I'll either have to get a new job, be able to telecommute, stay at my old house during the week, or a combination of the three.

I live 8 miles from my office. On a good day, it is 10-15 minutes. If it is raining, that doubles to 20-30 minutes.

I have a floater position, so I can be between 10 different locations. At my "home base" anywhere between 15-30 minutes depending on lights. At the other one I've been frequenting, 10 minutes.

40-45 minutes staying off the toll road. 35-40 minutes on the toll road. Needless to say I stay off the toll road.

About 25 mins, unless there's construction or an accident.

8Km each way. 30min bus, 10min if I take the car, 25min if I ride my bike. I usually ride the bike in the summer/fall. If the weather is nasty, I'll take the bus (winter/raining).

My hubby's commute, on average, is anywhere between 60-75 minutes. He has to drive about 10 miles to the train that takes him into downtown Dallas in the mornings. But, traffic is usually light early in the morning (6'ish) so he can get downtown in 45 minutes. Coming home is trickier since the commute from the train station to home takes longer.

I commute to the city from the Island, it's about 1 and a half hours each way door to door.
