Just wandering if anyone was going to venture out this year and if there were any really good deals that we could share

During the holidays I work at a factory outlet mall back home when we get out of classes. It's a popular name-brand store, but out sales always go up on Tuesday and remain the same for a week, even during Black Friday. It always amazes me how crazy people get for "deals" they can always get any day for the next week.

You couldn't pay me to shop on Black Friday, at least not early. We have actually ventured out later in the day some years just for something to do and found the stores no worse than usual. This year, we will be driving my mom up to North Jersey because she is leaving on a cruise on Friday. From there, we may go into NYC or come back south and go to Atlantic City. We don't plan any particular shopping.Steve
* Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
* Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
* There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

We usually never go out on Black Friday. . .however this year is an exception.
We need furniture and Ashley Furniture is giving a 20% off if you show up at 7:00 a.m to 8:00 a.m.
We need couches, loveseat, end tables, a mattress for our oldest son, and an area rug and maybe a dining room table.
We are going to drop around $3000 (at least) so $600 is worth it.
Besides, furniture stores are never crowded like Walmart or Target or Sears or something. And they give you a wrist band so we can just show up and then go back anytime that day and get the discount.
