  • What don't you have to pay for?

What things do you not have to pay for and why don't you have to pay for them? I was looking around my house today and I didn't buy one 2005 calendar this year. They were all sent to me by various organizations. I also never have to pay for address stickers or memo pads. I am always receiving them in the mail. What things do you not have to pay for that you often get?

Haircuts. I cut the hair of the other three members of my family (DH, DS, DD). I myself go get my hair cut professionally 2 - 3 times a year (doing my own trims in between). But I'm thinking of re-evaluating my hairstyle to see if I can even cut those visits out.....

      calendars (get them free)
address lables (got a free address stamp)
      hair cuts
      make up
      jewelry
Hair dyes (dad & mom never went gray, of course I'd rather have gray hair than thinning)
      cards (make my own)
green beans, onions, strawberries, raspberries, rhubarb, peas (grow my own)
checks & checking acount (DH is over 55)
child care (girls are old enough)
      pizza (make my own)
video rentals (get free at library)
      cable (no tv)
trash service (we take it to the dump for free)
water & sewer (have a well & septic system)
I didn't use to have to pay for eggs, butter, cream, cheese & milk, but I got rid of the cow
      and the chickens.

I'm sure there is more stuff, but I can't think right now.

        Lawn sevice

I mow it myself and that is it, not that it looks very nice, but it is free. Actually I would like to do some stuff with it, but 'something' always comes up. This year I promise, unless I get oregnant, or something else .

I might not have to pay for water, but it is sure expensive to maintain my well. We haven't had continuous running water since Friday morning. I'm hoping it's only the UV light that needs replacing. Of course, that's over a $100 by it's self. Hate to think what it's going to cost to pump the septic system!

Calendars, pens, school supplies (it's included in the enrollment payment at DD's preschool!)

Then you did pay for it, when you enrolled her .
