I guess I am lucky, I live rural and I don't have a job. So blue jeans do me just fine until until they wear out. I am never tempted to buy new clothes.

I also love spending money!
But my addiction is different, I love fast cars and expensive tools. I used to just charge up my credit card and pay it over time, so I could by parts for the racecar. But now I'm much better about it. I still splurge, but for the past two years I've been sticking to my savings plan and not charging anything that I can't pay off right away.
I'll always have expensive hobbies, but I can have balance so they don't interfere with my other goals.

You should do what I do with our restaurant problem. I put a certain amount of dollars into an envelope and put it in my wife's purse every week. That is the money we have for restaurants for that week PERIOD! It has made me walk to the grocery store on days I forget my lunch because i want to save money for the weekend when I REALLY want to eat out. Just put a certain amount in an envelope every week (or month) and that is all you get. That way, you will only buy things you REALLY want because you know for every thing you buy, that is something else you can't buy.

I have the same problem with expensive clothes. In fact, it's gotten so bad that I don't bother to even look at places like Target. I try to compensate for my addiction by looking for coupons on Ebay that are for the stores I like to shop in. For instance, I like the Express store and my wife like Cache. It's pretty typical for me to find a coupon on Ebay I can buy. I can usually save at least $10 or more this way!
