Ebay Deeded timeshares for $1.00?

Greetings all.

I'm a newbee to this site, but read through some previous threads and liked the info.

Has anyone seen the timeshares that are for sale on ebay for $1.00 they claim that they are deeded properties with no mortgage and that the taxes are current with upgrades included. The only cost to owning the timeshare 8is to pay the next years taxes and maintanence fees. Are people really this desperate to get rid of their timeshares?

Is this possible or is it as usual you know... if it seems to good to be true.....

Any advise or thought would be appreciated.

Yes, people are that desperate. In fact, some pay companies to take away their timeshare (although this is never recommended). maintenance fees can be as much or more than the vacation itself would cost, especially if the slot is for a non peak period when accommodations in the area can be found for cheap. I'm not a big timeshare fan because of the financial havoc they cause most people and rarely are they financially sound. Do thorough research before even considering one.

They are really a bad deal, you can't give them away. I tried to talk my friend out of buying a couple, but she would not listen.
