    Sorry, but i'm so squeamish about handling dead mice, i can barely look at it when i'm picking it up to throw it away. I never reuse them, just too distasteful for me.

        We reuse our mouse trap..works great for the past 5 years...even cleans up the mice afterwards..most of the time...It is a cat

                    Yep!
                    If you are really squeamish about it then try using the snap traps. They are easier to use for disposing the mice.

                    Our mice get thrown outside in the ditch. Where do yours go? In the garbage?

                      yeah, when i have a dead mouse i tend to run to the dump pretty soon to avoid any, umm, unpleasant aromas. My cat is 'retired' and doesn't chase mice anymore.
