  • Credit Score/ Renting an Apartment

    Hi,
I am moving to another city and am looking for an apartment to rent.

I am worried that my low credit score will affect my ability to rent an apartment.

My credit score is currently 619 with TransUnion, 624 with Experian and 600 Equifax.

Any advice/info. would be greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks! M

I don't have any advice for you, but some others have responded to your other thread already:

I have rented apartments with a lower credit score than that...have you tried to apply for any apartments yet?

Check with the apartment and be upfront with them about it. Sometimes they will have a backup plan for people who do not have suitable credit scores. Remember, the only reason they are checking your score is to have some sort of confidence that you won't be a problem for them later on...

i think it can be compansated by putting down a bigger deposit and having a good recommendation.
