The reason that I wanted to write about this topic is that I know of a lot of people who are skeptical about Network Marketing being a legitimate source of income. The failure to create wealth with MLM/NWM companies is largely due to three primary reasons: 1. The product is not affordable 2. The company is a scam 3. The leadership program is not well versed in All of the methods to produce success.
The most important thing to find out before getting involved with a MLM/NWM company is to make sure that the company is the real deal. My only suggestion to this is to contact the BBB and verify the company is REAL.
Once you know that the company is legitimate, you need to find out the cost of the product that you are going to attempt to get people into. This was my biggest mistake with my first MLM business. Though the product was awesome (health product), it's cost per serving was not competitive. Make sure the product is not only a great product but that it's cost to use it is competitive in it's related market
The leadership program that headed up the MLM company that I joined was made up of people who had a massive following prior to their involvement in the business. They were already financially successful - big house, nice cars, vacations to exotic places, etc., etc. I did not know this until I was already financially committed. Why is this important? No matter how legitimate the company is or how competitive the product is, the main goal in all MLM businesses is to get people into the business. When sharing an opportunity of wealth with others, people are looking at what you have achieved. Your success makes believers out of them. Are you going to listen to someone driving a Bentley or an Impala? Are you going to listen to someone living in an upscale neighborhood (million dollar homes) or someone renting a house in a middle class neighborhood? People looking for a way to make money want to see proof.
So, how does a middle class person make money in MLM? Easy, get as many people on the product or into the service. See, the problem is that most wealthy people have friends that are wealthy. And, of course, most non-wealthy people have friends that are not wealthy. So, the best way to create wealth in an MLM business for the non-wealthy is to get people on the product or into using the service. Their loyalty is a reflection of their belief in the product or service. They are believers. The only way to do that is to get users first and let the users turn into distributors. The company that I was with preached and teached getting people into the business first. The problem with that is that others couldn't see their financial dreams of success through me. The leaders of this company though were able to get people into the business because of the image they portrayed. So, rather than reflecting on the different demographics of the population the leaders of the MLM company that I started with taught a program that assumed that everyone was as wealthy as they were. The best way to get people on the product is to make sure the price is affordable and then follow all of the taught MLM marketing schemes with words that sell to users rather than words that get people into the business. Loyal users will share the product with others. Of those loyal users, there will be some who will recognize an opportunity of becoming a distributor themselves and contact you on how to do what you are doing.
I hope this information was beneficial to those who are in a MLM business that is not doing so good or to those who have been thinking about getting into one.
