Has anyone bought a car thru Costco?

A friend of mine used Costco to buy a new car last month in Norther VA. He said he got a great deal (new Honda minivan) a few hundred above invoice, without the stress of haggling for hours.

He may or may not have received a good deal but "invoice" price is not an indicator; it is, rather, a sales tactic. That is why dealers advertise that they'll sell you a car for "$1 over invoice," etc.

Still, that is not meant to be a negative commentary about buying through Costco. I really don't know how well that works but I expect that it is probably a decent way to buy a vehicle.
