  • 100 Things You Can Still Buy For $1 or Less

    There are a lot of people out there that think that $1 can hardly buy anything these days, so I'm interested in knowing what things that you can still buy for a dollar or less...what are the things that you purchase on a regular basis for $1 or less and let's see if we can come up with at least 100 different things.

    Greeting card (or two)
    Candy bar (or two or three)
    Book (at a dollar store) or books (from a used book source or library book sale)
    Post-it notes or a notepad (or two)
    A few photos printed from digital media
    Candle(s)
    Jigsaw puzzle
    An item of clothing (from a thrift store or similar)
    A can of soda
    A lottery ticket (not recommended)
    A postcard and stamp
    Air freshener

      tooth brush
      2 liter soda on sale
      snickers bar
      2 big cupcakes from the vending machine (my weakness)
      clothes at the goodwill (1$ per pound is awesome!!!!)
      2 stamps
      large sweet tea at mcdonalds (not including tax tho)
      canned foods (i get most of mine for 33-48 cent each)
      package of speghetti strings / noodles @ biglots
      hunts ketchup
      dollar tree stuff - hairbows, baskets, decorative toiletries, etc
      bar soap

        well not to nitpic..but you can't buy dollar tree stuff for a dollar..you need the tax as well (which will vary from state to state)

        You can buy an apple for a buck.....instead of the candy bar

          LOL .... true true... tax kills..


          and more like a lb of apples for a buck (at our farmers market - 69cent a lb! whoohoo!). forgot about those!

                I can still get twelve or fourteen ounces of beans or lentils for a dollar. Add that to a few things from the garden and I have quite a few meals for just $1. Well, I guess I would have to spend something for the fuel to cook them. And a tiny amount for the water.

                        a box of spaghetti (store brand), a can of beans, or any other vegetable, rice in a packet, can of dog food, can of evaporated milk, pencils, fruits if you weigh them and buy them under a $1., matches, votive candle from grocery store, jar of bubbles for kids to blow bubbles, single packet of microwave popcorn, midsize candy bar, pencils, chewing gum
