  • Turned 100,000 miles today!

I have a 1998 Toyota Camry. I bought it used as a dealer demo in August 1998 with a little over 11,000 miles. Today, on the way home from Atlantic City, I turned 100,000 miles! We pulled over and took a couple of photos of the odometer with our cell phone cameras.

Congrats! According to my 1996 Toyota Corolla, you should have at least 30K more since mine just turned 130K. Coincidently , as I was coming back from AC also

My last car was a 1991 Camry. I bought that new and put 127,000 on it.

Congratulations on being part of the 100,000 mile club! My husband's car should be making it there soon as well.

That is TOO funny that you stopped and took a picture of it.
We did the same thing when our car rolled 200,000 miles!

I still have that car and use it as a back up.

We mainly did that because our daughter was upset that she wasn't going to be with us when it turned. We wanted to be able to show her the photo that night when she got home.

                    haha congrats

its funny - i've been thinking and as long as i've known them, my parents have never had a car UNDER 100,000! they've always bought cheap, very used, and reliable then kept it for 4-5 years and got another one. I think 2500 was the most they've ever paid for any one car and thats the most recent one they have (a nice one owner 1994 ford taurus with 143k on it).

i was always embarressed when i was little but now that I know what its like, i see much wisdom in their ways. I bought my first car new (dealer demo) back in 2004 with 3500 miles on it. I now have right under 30k on it and I swear im going to keep it til it falls apart! i HATE car payments!!!!!

I didn't take a picture but I did think it was cool when my car, a Chevy Impala, turned over 100K. Its got about 115K now.

And I agree with the previous poster in that a car with no car payments is the best kind!

I be I have the oldest car of all!!! 1933 ford victoria and 1978 corvette. The odometer broke on the corvette back in the 70;s, We got it fixed, but it broke again after 3 miles. So, the odometer shows 14, 440 miles.
However, the 8 track tape still works!!

My 2001 truck turned 39,870 miles this a.m.! Most days it decorates my driveway as I time my errands to run w/the boys when they are going out! And yes, I love the fact that it's paid for - YEOOOWWWH - I hate car payments!!

It had 33,625 miles on it when I bought it in Jan 2006.

6245 miles in a year and a half - not too bad! I borrow THE Hubster's econo car when I've got more than 30 minutes worth of driving to do!

My husband has a 1964 Ford pick-up! I will check but I do not believe the odometer will show past 99,999?!?! I will double-check tonight.

A lot of old cars had odometers that only went to 99,999 and then they turned over back to 00,000.
