ophelia, when i was single we would have pot-luck dinners at each other's houses a couple of times a week. especially in the summer, when we would have BYOM (bring your own meat) barbeques...

Oh gosh I dunno I think I spend maybe $50 or so a week depending on sales & what I have on hand. The expensive trips are when they have big meat sales going on & I stock up as much as I have the room in my freezer & spare $ in my budget for. I also stock up on diapers when we've got extra $ in the budget so the tighter weeks don't seem so bad. & Wipies you can cut in half for the #1's so that helps too.

Dh usually buys his lunches @ work since he never knows if he'll even get a lunch break. But sometimes I can get him to bag it for a few weeks & that's usually an additional $20 a week vs what he could spend @ the cafeteria & vending.
