It takes less than a minute to whine at my husband to fix my car when it breaks, instead of taking it to the shop. It takes him longer than a minute to fix it, of course, but that's his problem!

Seriously? Plan my errands so I use the least amount of gas (and make said errands take less time). Clip a coupon or two. Check junk mail for coupons/offers before tossing it. Double check bills/reciepts for errors. Adjust a thermostat. Turn off a light switch. Change a light bulb to the new florecent kind. Turn off water while brushing teeth/lathering hands. Start a pot of coffee to take to work.

Before I leave the house I try to make a list of things I need to do. This sounds very simple, but it's saved me a lot of time, energy & gas.

        Oh too funny!

Mine would be to think about dinner. I was cooking dinner tonight when some friends walked by a husband and wife... I went out to say "hi". The husband asked if I was cooking since I had a towel thrown over my shoulder. Yes, told them what I made (I still am so proud of myself for cooking at all after DH doing practially all for the last 27 years). Wife says... mmm. yeah we don't know what we are having....

Dinner is something that normally happens every day. Take a minute and look in your frig or freezer instead of waiting until 6:15 at night, and then end up making a costly decision (with the exception of Ima Saver, of course).

turn off the freaking TV!!! (kids, are you listening??)

Turn off the lights. Even when you are in the room. Use your judgment. Sometimes you can do things when it is very near dark.
