I haven't read her book, but gender is a factor in money management if only because women still tend to outlive their spouses, and coudl end up taking financial responsibility for a good many years, even if, while hteir husband was alive, he was in charge of household finances.

My personal financial management has been more greatly influenced by the fact that i have remained single well into my 40s more so than the fact that i happen to be female. There's nothing like being single that forces you to focus and be self-sufficient.
